Immortal Technique - Dance With The Devil [video]

A few years back, a young German animation student named Viola Baier was inspired to create a video based off the track by Immortal Technique - from the debut album Revolutionary Vol 1. For anyone who's familiar with the song, you will know that it is both stark and shocking. The video is a cartoon, but it certainly isn't a Disney flick.

DJ Premier & Nas - Regeneration

Hip Hop meets classical music. Kinda similar to what they did back in the 90s with the The Rapsody Overture, just not as good. Here Primo gets his conductor on and waves the wand around (lol), and Nas continues his current trend of killing everything he's on with a nice little verse. Shame the beat couldn't have a little nicer.

The Guy Who Makes The Best Shit Movies

Corman's World: Exploits of a Hollywood Rebel is a tantalizing and star-studded tribute to Roger Corman, Hollywood's most prolific writer-director producer, and seminal influencing force in modern moviemaking over the last 60 years. Featuring interviews with Hollywood icons and cinematic luminaries, some who launched their careers within Corman's unforgettable world of filmmaking, including Paul W.S. Anderson, Peter Bogdanovich, Robert De Niro, Peter Fonda, Pam Grier, Ron Howard, Eli Roth, Martin Scorsese, William Shatner and Jack Nicholson, along with many others, this documentary chronicles how Corman created his cult film empire, one low-budget success at a time, capitalizing on undiscovered talent, and pushing the boundaries of independent filmmaking. Director Alex Stapleton weaves archival footage following Roger's illustrious career: From his early days of genre-defining classics including the original Fast and Furious, the original Little Shop of Horrors, The Crybaby Killer, The Intruder, House of Usher, and The Wild Angels (which at that point in 1966 was his 100th film) - to present day video of him and his wife Julie on location, still at work as they continue to produce and distribute films outside the studio system: fast, cheap and out-of-this-world!

Style Wars Outtakes

Style Wars was originally edited to its 69 minute length from about 30 hours of 16 mm film that we shot in 1981 and 1982. Hours of exciting and wonderful scenes in the extra footage that didn’t make it into the finished film need to be restored. There are many shots of trains and some surprising masterpieces rescued from oblivion.

But this history is threatened. The original footage is damaged and fading. Fortunately, it will be possible to repair using digital technology. It will cost $28,000 to save and restore the outtakes. Saving the best outtakes is an important component of our overall project to restore the entire negative of the film and make an HD master which will preserve the record of the first painted trains in their original vivid colors.

A Hilarious And Profound Interview At Wal-Mart

Wack-rapper Webbie decides to visit Wal-Mart and drop some knowledge for BET. It's fair to say that there hasn't been this many quotables since the fully stocked fridge for shorties.

Subtitles would help, but you kinda get the gist of what he's on about. Or not. The Smoking Section called it 'The Greatest Webbie Interview Of All Time'. Others simply dropped the Webbie and dubbed it 'The Greatest Interview Of All Time', or 'The Worst Interview Of All Time'. You be the judge.

Maori TV To Play NBA Games

Last night I found myself watching the 1992 NBA All Star game on Maori TV. The one where Magic Johnson, who had retired before the NBA season after contracting HIV, schooled everyone and took home the MVP honors. On fuckin' Maori TV, in a primetime slot! How random is that? And it turns out that it's going to be a weekly thing, with Maori TV playing NBA games every Thursday night at 8.30.

Sorry about that Breakers and shot Maori TV.

Amy Winehouse - Like Smoke ft. Nas

Here goes the first leak/single from the posthumous Lioness album, due out early December. It's actually more Nas featuring Amy Winehouse, but either way, it's a very nice smooth retro track. Both are in fine form. Produced by Salaami Remi.
