Last night I found myself watching the 1992 NBA All Star game on Maori TV. The one where Magic Johnson, who had retired before the NBA season after contracting HIV, schooled everyone and took home the MVP honors. On fuckin' Maori TV, in a primetime slot! How random is that?
And it turns out that it's going to be a weekly thing, with Maori TV playing NBA games every Thursday night at 8.30.
