The 1984 NBA Draft [documentary]

'The 84 Draft' is a film that documents just that - the 1984 NBA draft. The one where Houston picked Hakeem Olajuwon as the number #1 overall pick, followed by Portland's face palm of an idea (they've had a few) to select the injury-prone Sam Bowie ahead of some guy called Michael Jordan. Cue Jay-Z's, "I ball for real: y'all niggas is Sam Bowie"

Regarded as the greatest draft of all time, its talent also featured future greats Charles Barkley, John Stockton, Sam Perkins, Alvin Robertson, Otis Thorpe, Kevin Willis, Brazil's greatest baller, Oscar Schmidt and the now Dallas Mavs head coach, Jim Carrey Rick Carlisle.

J-Wills Got Game

While injuries cut Jason Williams' career shorter than it should have been, he still managed to crank out a few And1 highlights. Best enjoyed without a mouthful of food.

Gerald Green Gets The NBA Jam Treatment

Growing-up this was the only arcade game I was half decent at, so it's air to say I'm geeking out on this pretty hard after watching this.

Winning Time - Reggie Miller vs The New York Knicks

I don't mean to kick the Knicks while they're down, but THIS is the greatest basketball documentary of all time *Kanye shrug*. It's almost impossible to watch this and not want to own a Reggie Miller jersey.

If you're a fan of basketball and you haven't seen it you're not actually a basketball fan. And if you have seen it, you know you want to watch it again. Hit play. You're very welcome.

Action Bronson - Blue Chips 2

The above video plays off the infamous 1995 Eastern Conference Finals game between the Pacers and the Knicks, when Ewing blew a point blank lay-up at the buzzer. The perfect trailer for the mixtape below.

Michael Jordan - Playboy Interview (1992)

Playboy: How did you get the news about Magic?
Jordan: His agent, Lon Rosen, left me a message at practice and he said it’s an emergency, he’s got to talk to me. When I called him back, he told me, “Magic’s having a press conference today. He’s going to retire. He tested positive for HIV.”
Playboy: Where were you when he told you?
Jordan: I was driving home. I almost drove off the road. I said, “This has to be some kind of sick joke.” He said, “Well, Earvin wants to talk to you.” So he gave me Earvin’s number and I called him at home. He was as calm as you and I. I said to him, “Damn, you’re calmer than I am. I’m about to drive off the road.” He said, “I just want you to continue on with your life. I’m going to be fine, my baby’s going to be fine, my wife is fine.”
Playboy: Before Magic’s announcement, did players ever talk about AIDS?

Derrick Rose Is Sort Of Hunting For Lebron James

Prior to clicking play though, realize the video is fan made and the voice heard is John Harrison from Star Trek: Into The Darkness. Derrick Rose nor adidas had no part whatsoever in the video. But still. I'm a Lebron hater from way back, so anything anti him is getting play here.
Also, keep this in mind for next NBA season; Rose returns, Brooklyn enlists the geriatric coalition of Garnett, Pierce and Terry and Indiana lock in David West while adding bench support. Objectively, this means Miami advancing to a fourth straight Finals next year (which hasn’t happened since the Celtics of the ’80s) will be more difficult than its ever been.
